Just seen LVG being interviewed on BBC, did look like a man who needs a hug.
Another case of over payed / rated players letting their manager down.
Will be gone by NY, hope he gets another decent job somewhere else.
Tainted job after AF.

No-one stands a chance after Ferguson. Although successful ultimately this is all the fault of the United board for having no succession plan.

They did.
It was Moyes.

The problem was spending money on shit players & giving in to pressure too quickly

Rubbish just Ferguson choice to the board, the board / Chief Executive should have planned this much better hence a good 5 years in the wilderness or possibly as long as Liverpool have been out of it.

This season in the Premier League is just bizarre. To think Leicester and Palace are gunning for European football next year, while Utd and Chelsea may not even make the top half of the table is incredible.

I'm finding it enjoyable for once, well except the Palace bit...

This season in the Premier League is just bizarre. To think Leicester and Palace are gunning for European football next year, while Utd and Chelsea may not even make the top half of the table is incredible.

It seems the PL is like a hyped up version of the Championship this season where anyone can beat anyone else on the day. Previously the top four would invariably prevail, so it's refreshing to see the form book turned upside down.

Great to see Leicester up there. They've developed very nicely as a squad since we spanked them home and away in their Championship winning season, plus it helps that they made an inspired managerial appointment. Would be interesting to see Vardy, Mahrez and Leo up against our back four (eek)........but that's the benchmark we need to measure ourselves against. Not to mention Aguero, Sanchez etc.

Meanwhile this PL is turning out quite nicely for teams like Bournemouth to accrue precious points and to consolidate. Pity it wasn't our turn this season.

So I hope next season is similarly unpredictable, should we get to the promised land. The financial windfall would be handy too.

I think you're right and a number of those players were Ferguson buys.

Rubbish just Ferguson choice to the board, the board / Chief Executive should have planned this much better hence a good 5 years in the wilderness or possibly as long as Liverpool have been out of it.

What, so Ferguson was leaving and he suggested Moyes and although the United board didn't agree at all they nevertheless just went along with it?

Bit dim really, eh?

All these shouty egotistical managers crashing down to earth simply due to there being many less quality forwards than quality defenders in the Prem? Brilliant!

The aurora of Man Utd ended when Fergie retired, since then they have just thrown money at the wrong players and, it could be said, managers.
It might well take another few hundred million quid before they get it right. :))

Frustration and disappointment is the staple diet of most football fans it will be interesting to see if all their glory hunting plastic fans can cope with the ongoing underachievement. Welcome to the real world, long may it continue :D

Now the press have got their claws in LVG is a dead man walking.

Historically at Bayern, Ajax and Barcelona he is very good at bring young players into the fold, that's where he has had his success. It all goes wrong for LVG when he is given money to spend. £250 million and look at United's defense. Granted he has been unlucky with Luke Shaw's injury. For a United fan it must be painful to watch. But for the rest of us looking in, it is hilarious.

Disastrous appointment. I wish he could stay for longer.
