Lancing Trains?

Seems I'll find myself in Lancing on Tuesday so will be getting the train. Seem to be a few services to get but to the regulars from there, is there anything I need to be aware of? Assume there will be the usual queues at Brighton or is it better for the midweek games?

We leave from Shoreham and for night games normally get the 18:14 London train but will get the 18:06 instead as London trains all cancelled due to engineering work.

There should be far less commuter traffic from Brighton to Falmer so would expect fewer queues.
