To see a Sussex boy (Hailsham, not Eastbourne) make his competitive debut for England under-21s in the shadow of the West Stand was special.
Especially as it was in a vital Euro qualifier, not just a friendly where caps can be awarded diplomatically.
This isn’t just about Solly March. Several players improved their performances from last season to this – Bruno, Stockdale, Stephens, LuaLua are names which spring to mind.

But March’s form after bouncing back from injury was one of the stories of this season until his cruciate ligament gave way.

Early promise, setback, growing in stature and confidence,*becoming a force, then injury late in the year.
In many ways, March's 2015 was also the story of Albion's year.
