Unbelievably (given the band) he was kicked out in 1975 for drug use.
My first Motorhead gig was Manchester Free Trade Hall 1978, the Tour they had loads of hearing aid adverts in the Programme.
And yes my ears rang for a couple of days afterwards...

I was there, but it was Hawkwind not Motorhead. I remember getting quite excited when Stacia the dancer got her babs out!
I was only 14 at the time.

First saw Motorhead in 1985 at their 10th Birthday Party at the Hammy O and last time was at the Brighton Centre for the 35th Anniversary tour (with Herr Tubthumper)
