Windows 10 Updated - Start and Search Buttons Buggered???

Anyone else had this latest gift from Microsoft? I've just updated my Windows 10 to the latest version (1511), which took about an hour. Once that had installed, I was suddenly being promised 'amazing new features', etc.

The most amazing new feature spotted so far is that both the Start and Search buttons, while present, are now dead. Which means I can no longer get to any of my 'Apps' (ugh) from the Start Menu, nor access my Settings, Control Panel, etc.

It's totally bloody annoying and, if all else fails, I'll be needing a System Restore (if I can find where that's gone)

Anyone else got this? More to the point, anyone got a fix?

I upgraded to the latest Apple OS X and within two weeks my 5 year old apple had died. According to support ithat model has struggled with the latest graphics and this can be the resulr. Grrr. But they are saying its within a 6 year guarantee so maybe all good
