Albion Women made a piece of history, set a new record and went top of the table on a memorable afternoon at the Amex.
The Seagulls outclassed title rivals Charlton in a 2-0 success before a record Premier League crowd.
An enthusiastic turnout of 3,256 cheered Albion home, with Jay Blackie and Charlotte Gurr on target in the first half.
It was a one-sided affair and a great advert for the Seagulls and women’s game in general, despite awful conditions.

Skipper Blackie gave the hosts a dream start by heading home from corner, with the help of a deflection, in only the ninth minute.Gurr coolly converted a one-on-one in first-half added time after being released by Charley Boswell.
Quite how Albion did not score more goals remains a mysery.
Deanne Cooper hit the top of the bar a minute later, Boswell and Sophie Perry both went close to adding to the tally and Kate Natkiel was denied by the keeper after she had charged through.
But there was no taking away from Albion's satisfaction as they took the applause at full-time.
