It could have been three for Albion when Taylor got in behind the Charlton defence, but could not divert her shot on target.Cooper then rattled the crossbar just moments later with a strike from the edge of the box.
James Marrs’s side began the second half with the same attacking impetus, as Taylor forced her way into the Addicks' box, but her subsequent strike was deflected wide.
Perry played in Cooper on the left-hand side and the latter’s shot went narrowly over the crossbar.
The Seagulls continued their relentless pressure on the Addicks goal, as Taylor’s strike went just past the right-hand post.
The visitors rarely troubled Faye Baker in the Albion goal, but Nikita Whinnett found space on the left but sent her shot wide of the left post.
Natkiel weaved her way through the Charlton defence following a flick on by Taylor, but Baker was on hand to make a low save.
The forward had another chance just moments later after being played through by Boswell, but saw another attempt fly just over the target.
Boswell played in Natkiel again and the latter’s effort was saved by Baker.
Boswell was involved in the thick of the action again moments later, after her cross caused mayhem in the box and resulted in the ball falling to Perry, whose effort was blocked.
It was a special moment for England under-17 international Hollie Olding, who came on to make her home debut, replacing Natkiel.
The Seagulls saw out the closing stages with relative comfort to return to the top of the table.
