Apologies if already a thread on this, couldn't see one.

Is anyone going to this game? If so in the home or away end?

I like the idea of supporting a local Brighton side and the atmosphere should be good BUT I wondered how they felt about the Albion? I genuinely don't know if they have any rivalry with us or like/dislike us. I don't really fancy standing there amongst people singing anti-Albion songs all games.

Anyway should be a good day, i will go anyway in either end as cheap tickets and love the FA Cup

If you go along with the right attitude and be honest that you just want a local team to do well there would be no problem. I saw plenty of Brighton fans at the last FA cup game.

There has been a long history of hatred and violence between the two Brighton sides so you are advised to keep quiet,it all kick off a long time ago after the great Brighton city naming feud!:ffsparr:

I'm going and have been to watch Whitehawk many times, go in the away end with the Whitehawk fans.
I promise you we won't be the only Brighton fans there, I've never heard an anti- Albion song at any Whitehawk match I've been to.

The Whitehawk fans are decent people, you will be very welcome.

Should be a good day out (apart from the weather foreast, meh)! I suspect the Hawks will make it through to the next round given the form of Daggenham.. Imo the hawks 'ultras' are very welcoming - if not one of the biggest followings around.

The Ultras are some of the most right-on supporters in the whole country. Take some ear plugs though if you're near the person with the drum. There were a fair few Albion caps, coats etc at the Lincoln game and at least 5 Fulham supporters (some of whom are going to the Dagenham match). Have a great time.

White hawk against Dagenham.....sounds like a perfect game for a mighty dust up! Years ago my girls were in a winter guard competition in Dagenham, and even then there were nutters wandering around abusing people from brighton...it was the days when brighton and West Ham we're not the best of friends.

We had a great time at Dagenham, when we last played there (Albion) It was March 2011, when we won all 8 matches that month. Adkins turned up to watch up so we regaled him with 'Keeping up, are we keeping up, na na na na na na na na'.

At the risk of sounding ignorant what's a Winter guard competition?

In the summer, you have drum core, which is basically American college marching bands and you have competitions around the uk and Europe for European bands . If you have ever watched college football ( American football) you will see them. But you have girly wirlies and blokes too waving flags and chucking swords and rifles around .....they are called the Color guard. In the winter, the Color guards of the various bands compete indoors and there are some seriously brilliant talented young people, of which laura and Becky were one of them...I would say that but they really were.

There are not that far off the best..

Dagenham have banned drums, other musical instruments and flag poles, in the away end.

I've been pondering on travelling, and it's looking increasingly likely that I will.

Whitehawk are my nearest local team. It'll be nice to see them do well. I'll be in with the home fans. Dagenham is a new ground for me.

Why will you be in with the home fans?
The away end ' The Traditional Builders Stand ' looks like the best part of the ground.

I was under the mistaken impression that it was ticket only for Hawks.

No, it's definitely POTG.
Tickets can be ordered in advance from Dagenham & Redbridge FC and collected from their ticket office, I think the advantage of this is children get a discount.

Dagenham is a bit rough but the local football club are fine in my experience. Less threatening than Canvey.
