Residential Support Workers required

Child First are looking to recruit full time Residential Care Workers (Part time and job share considered)
The post involves providing 24 hour support to children and young people who can exhibit challenging behaviour. These behaviours can range from defiance to aggression and applicants will need to be robust to cope with and manage these behaviours. We have a great track record of assisting young people to make positive changes to their behaviour and make appropriate choices in their education and development.
Within a supported and caring environment you will work as part of a team to ensure that the physical, emotional & identified needs of the young people are met.

Sound communication skills and an ability to use own initiative and to think outside the box are required, plus the ability to build positive professional relationships with young people and other professionals. Experience is not essential as full training will be given. You must also be prepared to work shifts including weekend and evening work.
Although this can be a tough job it can also be very rewarding and enjoyable.

We offer a competitive salary and sleep in allowance.
Salary starts at: £16.500 pa and you can expect regular pay rises as your skills and knowledge develop. Applicants with experience may negotiate salary depending on their employment history and qualifications obtained.


In addition to the basic salary there is a £50 sleep-in allowance.
Typically carers undertake two sleep-ins per week which could add up to an additional £5000 to your salary.
