No.

But then Hoops was the ref, and it was against us, so yes. Absolutely nailed on.

Really shitty one.

Technically, it was a foul, but a very soft foul to give a penalty.
The striker was fouling dunk at the same time (perhaps before the shirt pulling even) but again, too soft to give us a free kick for it.

So, common sense would suggest to let both go and just play on, but I imagine the Ref only saw the shirt pulling.

Ridiculously soft penalty, even worse when Dunk was technically fouled first.

Of course it was a penalty. Not sure how anyone can claim otherwise. Dunk nearly had the shirt off the guys back. Keane may well have been holding Dunk's arm but the more obvious was the shirt pulling..

There is a football cliche "If the ref gave a penalty every time that happened the score would finish 10-all." The cliche arose from incidents exactly like this. It happens at every corner in every match every week in every division.

The refs decision is totally inconsistent with other refs. I find the inconsistency more infuriating than Burnley actually scoring the pen because when we get this ref again he could do the same thing again.

No doubts whatsoever had Dunk not exposed sk much of Keanes body he may have got away with it but with so much bare flesh shown there was only ever going to be one outcome. Dunk then did the same again up the other end when attacking our corner. Will he learn from it. I doubt it.

Exactly this, yes it was a foul but most referees would have either stopped play before the corner and warned them or realised it was 6 of 1 half dozen of the other after and played on. It was almost as if old Hoops was waiting to give it.

No pen.
They were fouling each other so it's no contest.
It happens every week and happened later in the same game.
Ref appears to have been swayed by the shirt pull but this is irrelevant as they were fouling / pulling each other.
Dunk winning the challenge probably didn't help either but the overriding factor was that the ref is who he is.

Can this ref:tosser: as he is be responsible for other refs not applying the rules. Interesting that Gary Rowatt Brum manager said about managers talking to refs before the game no doubt he will at The Amex.
