Doctor Who is dead.

Steven Moffatt killed it with non-sensical, overly complicated and tedious story lines.

And Capaldi is hammering in the last few nails.

In the Xmas Special so not dead. Also, glad she's leaving as(despite a promising start) she has been no better than any of the other terrible companions since Doctor Who returned.

I thought the last few episodes have been great with some brilliant performances from Capaldi.

In the Xmas Special so not dead. Also, glad she's leaving as(despite a promising start) she has been no better than any of the other terrible companions since Doctor Who returned.

Flashbacks, doppelgängers, clones, disguises, masquerades, a return to the storyline of her travelling through the doctor's timelines. Could be any number of reasons for her to appear in the christmas special. It's also possible they were acting as if she would be in the special to try to hide the fact she was going to die, and that she won't actually be in it.

Alex Kingston will be back for it as River Song.
