Kenny Jackett, who this afternoon insisted after his team's 2-2 draw at Ipswich that Portman Road was "...a tough place to come."

Come on Kenny! I mean, Ipswich? No fewer than SIX teams so far have come away from Portman Road with something, as against just three defeated. Or was Kenny possibly referring to the remoteness of the town, and the tedium of slogging down the A14 and A12 to get there?

Surely a football manager bingo opportunity here, with prizes awarded for (1) the manager getting this ridiculous cliche in earliest and (2) the one displaying grossest insincerity, eg "The New York Stadium [ Rotherham United, W 1, D2, L5 ] is a tough place to come."

Plenty of other possibilities here: certainly, every new player asserting that his new colleagues are "a great bunch of lads", as he holds up a shirt for the cameras. Yes, yes, we know it won't have his name on the back but, instead of looking like he's been dragged into some sort of soap powder commercial, why not just wear the bloody thing?
