Being a bit of a traditionalist and grown up playing football I always liked a good football boot , Puma kings, Adidas world cups etc. Having three grandsons I've just about come to terms with new style boots , fluorescent colours and I quite like some of them , but these B%$tards I think are a step too far

I'M imagining you wax/ shave your chest/legs , wear spray on jeans with the arse on the back of your knees, rolled up with white socks and pumps.

Say what you like about Bridcutt, but on a pitch full of day-gIo orange and lime green, I always admired his no nonsense black boots.

To be honest in 5-aside you now have to be good to wear black boots now.

To wear black boots means you have chosen not to just buy the cheapist shitty boots in the shop. Obviously if you play a bit this doesnt matter as its worth investing in a nice pair of boots.
