Listening to their total works at present. It's incredible that Weller was knocking out songs of such quality at such a young age, but begs the question, where was the high point?

The Jam were good but put me down for Our Favourite Shop, Wildwood or Illumination (or even Saturns Patern come to that)
Reckon All Mod Cons was better than Setting Sons by the width of a (top E) guitar string - both, though, were (still are) absolute classics

It seems the majority are right, there is no other answer than All Mod Cons. A truely remarkable album. It was also the first proper album I bought, so I am pleased as punch with my choice, my second album was More Specials. I'm pretty damn cool, ain't I?

Went with All Mod Cons but 'twas a close call ... and From The Jam (with Bruce Foxton &Russelll Hastings) are touring now - it's well worth a visit !!
