Away from the BIG game of the weekend at Turf Moor, the other sides in the play-off spots will all be hopeful of a three-point haul this weekend, although I have a funny feeling that Bristol City may do us a favour.

Even if we were to lose, the very worst position the Albion could be in is third place, and at least 6 points clear of the 7th. Not too shabby.

I fancy QPR and Cardiff to get draws in their games. Birmingham are nailed on for a win

A few weeks ago it was the x point gap to 3rd place, now 7th , if you start mentioning gap to 12th should we start to worry ?

On Friday (Nov 20th) we'll be 9 points clear of 7th place
A month ago (Oct 20th) we were 8 points clear of 7th place.
2 months ago (sept 21st) we were 8 points clear of 7th place
Who's worrying :)

Ha!

Personally, the gap to 7th has been the one I've been keeping an eye on. I think it's a big ask to be in front of three of Burnley, Derby, Hull and Middlesbrough over 46 games.

Sounds very sensible and realistic I was just making sure the lowering of expectations wasn't a sign of things to come!

Why is this thread based on worst case sanario rather than best case.We are the only team in the country yet to lose a league game.
if we win we have a good chance of being top of the league with 2 very winnable home games to follow.
