Burnley is a horrible dump. I've watched the Albion up there a couple of times. I'll say no more.

When we went to Burnley three or four years ago we saw a house near the ground being distress-sold by the lenders and had a competition to guess how much. It was £11,500 so things have gone downhill since then. (We did the same with a semi for sale outside Craven Cottage this year. The price was £3.8m.)

Visiting Burnley made me feel sad. It was just so ugly and rundown and hopeless-looking on the way out of town.

Could someone please put a central Brighton price on that house, based solely on those photographs?

I've an uncle who spend a redundancy payment on an entire side of a street in Newcastle. All tenanted, DSS tenants. Hasn't even seen the houses as far as I know. If he gets let go from a bank again I might point him at Burnley.

No you don't. There are sitting tenants - that might be the problem.

The site suggests it sold in June this year for £23k. What's happened in that time?
