Are we going to make a loan signing?

I would hope so but there doesnt appear any whispers and also the loan window closes next week. Strange no news on Baldock and his injury hopefully it was a minor injury and he will play Sunday.

It's not strange about there being no news about Baldock.

In a league of fine margins, there is plenty of reason not to keep the opposition up to date.

I accept that coming from the club but usually somebody knows somebody who gets it from the horses mouth that he is out for x number of weeks plus they came out quickly saying about Bong and the seriousness of his injury

Charlton signed Vaz Te and apparently are after Kermognant from Bournemouth on loan. Could we get Vetokele on loan as I am sure his style of play would suit us. Possibly Stephen Ward on Monday?

I suspect you are right about Ward, although there is the argument that Burnley wouldn't loan to a rival team.

8 days until the window shuts.

Vetokele is out injured until into the new year.

It would be a major surprise if we didn't bring in a specialist left back in the next few days before the window closes. If Baldock is out for any length of time then my guess is we will look to cover him too.

I think if we were to have got a loan signing, we would have done so by now in order to allow player(s) to bed in with team during international break, pointless getting someone in now and throwing him straight into the team v burnley

OK, Bong and Baldock out - but that's only two players. Does this mean that our summer transfer window wasn't quite as good as we thought it was, if we've got no-one in the squad good enough to come in?

But that would mean paying them throughout the international break when a lot of the squad are either on international duty or given leave to spend time with families because of the international break

The team have all been on international duty or on holiday.

It's not pointless at all. If someone is brought in, even if they don't start it could provide another option from the bench.

I would hope to see one before Sunday and if as Bozza has heard Baldock out for 8 weeks I hope it is a striker. The big problem is who?
