My friend has a daughter who is in need of a life changing operation which they have to pay for (and fund the post op intensive physio)

The club have very generously donated two items that will be auctioned off to help them. One of them gives you a rare opportunity to live life like Hove Born and Bred.....(okay not selling it well ) .....gives you the chance to live life like Johnny Cantor and Andy Naylor

If you are interested please feel free to enter a bid or help. Full details about the operation, the fund and the auction items are below.

Thanks

Darcey is 6 years old and was born with four limb motor disorder, which is a form of Cerebral Palsy. She is an incredible, amazing girl who is very determined to be just like her friends - and be able to walk unaided.

Darcey has been accepted for an operation at Great Ormond Street Hospital which will help her greatly. Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR), is a spinal operation which will reduce the spasticity in her muscles and will enable her to have more mobility. This operation can also improve upper body movements, speech and concentration, so it really is life changing!

This operation isn’t currently available on the NHS. The family have already raised the funding for the operation but £30,000 is still needed for the intensive physiotherapy Darcey will need afterwards. A large number of fundraising events have already taken place and £18,000 has been raised towards this.

To push toward the final target there will be an auction evening on Friday 13th November at St Peters Roman Catholic Primary School, Shoreham-by-Sea, starting at 7pm. Wine and cheese will be served before the auction and entry is just £5 which will include two free drinks. Brighton and Hove Albion have kindly donated two items for the auction:

- a signed shirt
- a 'money can't buy' Press package including attending the pre match Press conference on the Thursday at the training ground, attending the game on a Saturday with seats behind the dugouts near the Press area, match programme and food and also attending the post match Press conference

If you wish to bid for either of these items, sealed written bids can be sent to SDR for Darcey, 179 Old Fort Road, Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex BN43 5HL to arrive by end day Thursday 12th November.

All donations are gratefully received.

I was lucky enough to go on the 'money cant buy' Press package for the MK Dons game together with a couple of friends. Combined with the pre-match Press conference on the Thursday we had an excellent time and were very well looked after by Paul Camillin. For some reason Gareth Southgate seemed to recognise us as well. Paul arranged for a photo and quick chat with Chris Houghton after the game. If you have the opportunity I wholeheartedly recommend it and I thank the Club for donating, in my case, the prize.

You could post something on the Palace forum. It's the same op as a Palace fan's daughter had, and we raised a fair bit for her family on NSC.

Good luck to Darcey and her family.
