Stockdale - 6, very little to do, didn't enjoy him taking on their striker early on to almost gift them a goal
Bruno - 7 decent going forward and good at the back
Dunk - 7 solid at the back
Hunemeier - 7 also good at the back
Rosenior - 6 out of position struggled with no left foot, miss bongs crosses
Calderon - 6 not a lot from him, decent link up play, a little off the pace
Stephane - 6 a few good passes but nothing special
Kayal - 6/7 a few good runs but again not a lot to talk about
March - 7 looked bright when he made his runs forward, had a good chance blocked but lack of end product
Hemed - 7 decent hold up play but not a lot to do
Baldock - 6/7 a few good runs but looked weak once Hemed went off

Crofts, Manu, not really enough time to judge

Stockdale 5: Distribution decent, one half save made. If he tries to dribble around strikers when fielding back passes it's only a matter of time before he will be dispossessed.

Rosenior 6: solid, got forwards now and then
Bruno 8: The only moments of flair came from the original hipster.
Dunk 7: commanding in air.
Hunemeir 7: Untroubled
Calderon 5: Huffed and puffed without doing much
Stephens 6: Covered a lot of ground
Kayal 6: Looked to drive the team forwards but gives the ball away in own half too often.
March 5: One decent wriggle at their defence in first half.
Hemed 5: Won one in four in the air, could have closed their defence down more.
Baldock 6: One of the few to take on opposition players.

Subs: Crofts 6: Did the role asked of him
Manu 5: Not on for long, suspect he could be more Shakin Stevens than Elvis.

He's a decent footballer. If it's a surprise in his locker, that's fine; if he does it regularly, coaches/CFs will pick up on it, and the eventuality you indicate will materialise.
ps I'm expecting some well-concealed smut some time between 12 and 1 on Saturday

It happened at Leeds and the ball ricochet's off the striker and hit the post.

Last night he did dribble past the striker well, but it only takes one failed Cruyff turn against a centre forward by DS and he there will be a lynch mob forming for him from the usual suspects.

He wasn't dribbling at Leeds, he was just a bit casual, and nearly got caught out. The defence rely on Stockdale's footballing ability, and I'd much rather have him with the ball arriving at his feet than TK, who really was dire that it's quite incredible that he played plenty of Champions League football.

Stockdale: 7 - A quiet night, apart from one routine save and his own faffing about with a fancy dribble.
Bruno: 7 - Steady game
Rosenior: 6 - Did OK defensively, but not as adventurous going forward.
Hunemeier: 7.5 - Very solid against the Wednesday front men. The back four defended well as a unit and looked comfortable in keeping Wednesday at bay
Dunk: 8 - Another immense performance. Steady at the back and imperious bringing the ball upfield. One run took him from deep inside our half into their penalty area. Looked classy. MoM.
Stephens: 7 - A mixed bag of a game, dominant at times and outgunned at others.
Kayal: 7 - ditto. A couple of mazy runs into threatening positions.
Calderon: 6 - typical Calde performance. Pity he slipped when well placed close to their goal.
March: 7 - Work in progress. More robust in the tackle and more purposeful with the ball. A couple of brilliant moments.
Hemed: 6: Frustrating that he wasn't more involved in the game, often beaten into challenges and looked a bit lost at times. To be fair the service to him wasn't great.
Baldock: 6.5: Worked hard but often too isolated to have an impact.

Thought we held a confident Wednesday at bay. Given their recent form I was a bit surprised that they didn't have more of a go at us but that is mostly a reflection of our solid defending. Even the tricky Forestieri struggled to make an impact and looked frustrated. Didn't think they looked as threatening as Reading. For a depleted team we were solid in defence, combative in midfield and only lacking in real cutting edge up front. A draw was the right result.

A Wednesday fan said that was the worst they'd seen him play.
