WA talking bollocks on SP. Rubbishing theory of 'win home' and ;draw away' saying you need 2 points per game.

Over the last 10 years the champions have averaged 92.7 points. 46 games give you 92 points.

So, unusual for the top 5 do be doing this, even though it's only 15 games.

The average for automatic promotion over that period is 86. 1.87 pts per game.

I googled it and it came up with gazettelive.co.uk saying it is 92.7 over the last 10 years. Somebody is wrong dont know who.

Not happened in last 15 years.
WA also pointed out the top clubs have just played two home games whereas we've played two away. This has slightly skewed the points I guess.

It must be - there is a sudden drop off after the top 5. We are 7 points clear of 7th!

I don't think top 5 teams can keep up this pace - although I think we've had our bad patch now (lol)!!!

I was just thinking that it usually takes 2 points per game to win the Championship but this year there are 5 doing it.

Below is the last five seasons of promoted teams (auto and play off) and the average PPG (first) and GPG (second). Brighton are currently averaging 2.07 PPG and 1.27 GPG. So on that form would get promoted with the lowest GPG...
