It seems likely that anything other than an Albion win at Hillsborough, something that has never happened, will be required to keep us in top spot in what is a full round of fixtures on Tuesday night.

Birmingham v Blackburn
Brentford v Hull
Bristol City v Wolves
Burnley v Fulham
Derby v QPR
Ipswich v Bolton
Leeds v Cardiff
Middlesbrough v Rotherham
MK Dons v Charlton
Preston v Nottm Forest
Reading v Huddersfield
Sheff Wed v Brighton

There are some decent unbeaten runs in the division currently...

Albion - 14
Derby - 9
Hull, Sheff Wed - 8
Cardiff - 6
Burnley, Fulham - 5
Brentford, Preston - 4

We may never have won there before, but in the league we've avoided defeat more than not.

Would be a hell of a performance to get 3 points at Wednesday. Could happen, but would be happy with a draw, which will see us off the top sadly.

TBH, apart from Boro, the other teams around have not got nailed on wins. Could be a few upsets.

I am loving the fact Hull play Middlesbrough next Saturday, so even if we lose a little ground on Tuesday, we've a great chance to claw it back against one or both of these a few days later.

But anyway, I sense the stars are lining up for a historic victory at Hilsborough on Tuesday.

If any albion team ever does it, it will be this one.

Fulham are looking like a proper team at the moment, I can see them beating Burnley.

Best of luck to Rotherham, Fulham, QPR and Brentford tonight - try and get at least a point each.

And also to Forest on Friday night against Derby.

The first result after Albion, I will look for after an Albion win will be Derby as they can knock up off top spot before Saturday even if we win. Unless we win by 7-0 or more!

But Derby might put five past QPR and then we will have to win by a lot more. It may very well be the best we can expect is going into Saturday's match trying ot get top spot back!

Bozza, Hull and Burnley are FAR from guaranteed wins, so a draw could easily keep us top.

I wouldn't be terribly sad if we dropped from top spot anyway. But it's all academic as I predict a splendid 3-0 Albion victory.

I think the most likely to overtake us is Middlesbro as I think there is a possibility the others could all draw and drop points.

Only likely if we lose. A draw makes it impossible.

What would be fraught would be going into the last match of the season with the points difference and goal difference as now. At least we would make the play-offs.

Gray two goals for Burnley. Thats what a 9 million pound striker does in the championship.

As Sir Warren A explained to us mortals. when we play quality like that we need to header the back of his nut early doors to let him know we're about. Only 2½ weeks away now.
