Amazing how a nation of 4 million people is that incredibly good at rugby.

Also how uniteresting rugby is whb there's no world cup final thread and it's being played in our own country...

Could be because the game's only just finished and the people who are interested have been watching the match. It was a cracking final - by some way the best one yet

There was one a while back that someone won with a last second drop goal, which was pretty good.

Pathetic coverage here. We get the 6 Nations on subscribed channel but no coverage for WRC. Watched online on crappy first row sports

It had an exciting finish but it was a pretty dour, forwards-dominated game - it only had two tries. The first final had a few tries but it was a pretty one-sided. No, this was by some way the best yet - two teams really going for it

4 million people in New Zealand, the same size of the UK.

Makes you think, this would be a nice place to live, with the expected millions flooding into the south east of England soon.

And they are good at rugby.

New Zealand are obsessed with rugby, the school year was rearranged for it in 2011,. They have 2 million likes on their facebook page for goodness sake, half the country and children are brain washed into loving the game. No surprise at all. We as a nation could learn a few things from them.

And yet when you consider how good they are at Football, Cricket, Tennis, Golf, Motor Sport or any other global sport it becomes clearer that their success is at the expense of practically every other sport. It's an interesting choice to have made. If you live over there and don't like Rugby it must be hell.

Great performance from NZ. And Dan Carter's drop goal was world class and pure inspiration. Genius.

Could soccer borrow the idea of a "bonus point" in the group stages? If any team wins by 3 goals or more, say, then they get a bonus point, and if you lose by one goal you also get a bonus point. 4 points for a win. It would all encourage more goals.

Or at least borrow the idea of a sin-bin.

Everything is rugby even an advert for mental illness has a rugby player in it. Teach a kid to read it has a rugby player in, drive a car, fly a plane, buy a pizza rugby rugby rugby. It is successful. Hell on earth no chance you just go into the bush and get away from it all in the garden of Eden.
