Martin Odegaard to the Championship...

Apparently he's considering a loan move to the Championship in January. Plays as an attacking midfielder. Currently he's struggling to get a look in at Real Madrid under Benitez despite becoming their youngest ever player under Acelotti in 2015.

Question is, would you want him (as a loan)? I'd imagine he'd potentially be backup to Kayal, but we already have Harper who could, and should, fill that role. Despite that Odegaard seems to be extremely highly rated, however I'd imagine he's looking for consistent first team football which I'm not sure we could offer him. Thoughts?

Source?

I'd definitely like us to take him if the chance were available.

Isn't Harper more of a number 10 type rather than an in your face box to box midfielder like Kayal? To be totally honest, I am not sure how Harper, or an attacking midfielder like Odegaard fits into a 442 unless they can play out wide as well. They certainly give options to change things though.

I doubt he'd go anywhere unless a start was pretty well guaranteed, on that basis it won't be here. End of speculation

Boro or Derby would be favourites I suspect

Why would they choose the Champ of all world leagues to send him? It's not a similar style to BBVA is it haha

Article also says that they have a preference to send him to either Getafe or Rayo Vallecano. His father has said that they wouldn't rule out a move abroad, so likely a case of Mail putting 2 + 2 together and coming up with the wrong answer again.
