They apparently are going to "assist" the Kurds. What will happen when the Turks bomb them ?

Considering the Syrian civil war is some four and a half years old, and the US has always wanted to grease the skids under the Assad regime, does anybody think there hasn't been at least 50 SF operatives in Syria more or less continuously since the spring of 2011?

Exactly this.
Watch GB follow suit after the next US election.

Will be very interesting to see if Putin will put troops on the ground.

We know that there have been US Marines there recently as one died during a firefight whilst rescuing hostages from ISIS.

It looks like the 50 SF's have been put into Northern Syria to gather intelligence and target leaders and ISIS HQ's on the ground.

What do you mean again?

I bet for a fact the SAS have been out there for months doing operations. Hardly news this.

Answer this truthfully.

Do you genuinely believe that the very first public announcement of Western troops on the ground fighting ISIS is not news?

Regardless to whether the SAS/KGB/RMC's have been undertaking covert rescue missions behind enemy lines in the desert. There are now Western troops on the front line fighting ISIS, paving the way for other Western governments to follow suit in due course.

For myself no. Our government are hardly going to broadcast that our special forces are out there. There's no need to. American troops have been in Syria for a while now allegedly training the Peshmerga. Yeah right.
