What a hideous item in all regards.

1. 10% of the proceeds supposedly go to the Royal British Legion. I say supposedly because I'm not sure how anyone verifies that.
2. Even it if did, in 1 above, that is 50p. Pay a quid (or more) and get one of the old-school poppies.
3. 10% to the Albion for ripping their logo off? No. Thought not.
4. 50p to the Royal British Legion for you to wear the same thing year after year. See 2 above.
5. Aldion? Just **** off.

Not a big fan of all the variants on the poppy.

I believe the traditional red paper poppy, that hasn't changed since I was a kid, is the most timeless and dignified act of remembrance.

I've got one of the small poppy metal badges that I've had about 3 years now, I only ever lose the paper ones, usual get through about four a year, so, I use my metal one, and stick a fiver in the first collection box I see.
I won't be buying one of the above

I've had a few of the official poppy badges over the years, but like every enamel badge I get I soon lose it. Paper poppy for me Clive.

Looks good to me.
At least they are donating some of the cost too.
Most people give nothing.

I don't really get with all these variations on the poppy. Big ones for your car, fabric ones, ceramic ones, ones like the above poorly thought out tat, oversized ones, teeny tiny tasteful ones, bejewelled ones, on and on.

No, I stick to the standard one made by the BL as they are understated and raise money for the right people.
All these other variations seem to be more about the person wearing it wanting to be seen to be wearing it than the ethos behind the poppy.

I only actually wear it for three days in November rather than a fortnight before .

I am assuming this is created by a Palace fan or something as a dig and going along the Aldi line.

Surely no one could actually be that incompetent?

2,000th post! Go me

Yes, had one for about 3 years.

EDIT.
I was wrong I haven't got the badge in the OP, that is very poor.

I have got this one, but I only bought it because I collect BHA pin badges.
I always buy a traditional paper poppy and i have got an official poppy pin badge.
