Bobby Zamora has revealed he will not be “knocking on the gaffer’s door” and asking to start games – despite two brilliant goals coming off the bench.
The Albion striker reckons Chris Hughton has got things just right in how he has used his veteran talents up front.
And he will have no complaints if he is left to wait until the final half hour for action again when Preston visit on Saturday.
The clamour among fans for Zamora to start could increase after they saw their hero hit superb late clinchers against Leeds and Bristol City.
But the former England striker told The Argus: “I think the way I am at the minute and coming on as sub is perfect for the team.
“If I play 90 minutes there is a chance I could miss the next game, just due to stiffness and wear and tear.
“I can play 90 minutes or start games but, at the minute, everything seems to be working as it is.
“I’m not knocking on the gaffer’s door to be starting games at all.
“I’m happy with any way he wants to use me.”
