How Quickly things change

Last season on the 21st of January we had 26 points & we had played 26 games.

This season we already have 28 points after 12 games.

Last season we only won 10 games

This season we have already won 8 games & the clocks haven't even gone back yet.

How quickly things change

The turn around is unbelievable. I'm sure this is making our current situation even more enjoyable. We have gone from relegation fodder to league pacesetters.

Last night was a big statement.

Not to our championship rivals but the players & most importantly the fans.
We can go a goal down & even when we are not at our best can find a way to win.
We were second best in most areas but still found a way to get a result.
Let's not forget another factor & that is luck because we are getting a fair amount of that at the moment.

Stockdale clearance at Leeds charged down & coming back off the post & blatant penalty not given
Last night to name but 2.

Totally agree. I'll also add that we have earned our luck by working hard and incorporating a strong team spirit, and this is the luck we missed out on last season.

It's funny how you get the luck when you dont need it & you don't get it when you do need it

No team is that good that they don't need luck but it seems that the big decisions go the way of the top teams

Also, had we not already gone through the Hughton honeymoon period by late January? Meaning we were probably on a vaguely good run at that time compared to the rest of the season.

Agreed we are getting the rub of the green. But Murphy was sent off and banned for 3 games for falling over. A game we went to draw after leading will 11 men. We also missed a pen at wolves and have had a number of shots hit the bar and been cleared off the line. Swings and roundabouts.
