am I alone in thinking that Freeman was given two yellows ? He got booked for diving, the ball was loose, their number 22 thumped it into the south stand and the dumb ref, I am sure, booked Freeman again for that..........anyone ? ???

It looked like it from the North East, but I think it was the angle we were sitting at, I'm sure it was intended for the 22.

He didnt show him the card at the time for diving as he run away so showed about a minute later after the number 22 had booted the ball away hence it looked like he should have got booked

We all thought the same. Thought he was getting a second yellow for dissent. But no red appeared. Weird.

I thought Freeman looked a good player however why do this players beat the same player three times and then fail to cross!

Did Bobby think it was okay to kick the ball into the stands as Bristol wasted so much time in the first half

I thought that was a bit silly - and hope Mr Hughton had a word - not a major meltdown, just not letting it pass. Not a good example from a senior statesman.

Both were clearly for Freeman.

This effectively says that he's not a good player. He might be skilful, but he doesn't understand the modern game, which is about moving the ball quickly. There were plenty on here banging on about Paddy McCourt at the beginning of last season. The game's moved on. And it's moving to the type of player Kodija is, not Freeman.

Back to the thread. I was certain Freeman was given two yellows live, and it certainly seemed to be the case he was given two yellows when watching the highlights on the concourse after the game.

Hasnt it been established the ref dropped the yellow card when showing it to Freeman so showed it again to be sure.

No that is an utter myth someone on here made up. He clearly showed him the first yellow for about 5 seconds and was clearly saying 'no' to Freeman as he was protesting... He surely showed him 2 yellows. Fact is the second one should have been for their other player anyway such was the refs negligence!

The alternative is less becoming of the legend.

He actually tried to bounce the ball back off the advertising boards, it took a bobble and Bobby skied it. I don't expect anyone to believe me on this one.

Ha ha. As I tend more to the cock-up than conspiracy that makes sense. Except if it was a bounce off the advertising screen he did really belt it. Perhaps he doesn't like commercialism of the modern game.
