Great fixtures for us. All top sides are away which is a real bonus for us. Points will be dropped somewhere.

Could we perhaps request the season to end on Thursday then?

Given all the chasers are also away at the weekend and we have 9-games-without-a-win Preston at home, I think we should hold out until Sunday before we finish the season.

That could be risky (Barnsley at home a couple of seasons ago springs to mind). I suggest we review when to end the season after Tuesday's result. If we win we can safely continue it into the weekend.

At least 1 of the 21-pointers should win, so we could do with getting the 3 points ourselves, and maintaining the 4 point gap.

Birmingham were that team.

The result of the night has to be Preston breaking their 9 match winless run with the 3-0 beating of Charlton. In one regard it feels like a positive that they have broken that streak before they visit us, but they are going to arrive with some renewed confidence.

Remarkably, Middlesbrough could slip out of the top six if Derby win at Blackburn tonight.
