Apparantly he had a great debut, but is now sinking back to the standard he was with us.

Let's hope he doesn't get sent back.

I don't understand why COG threads pop up quite so often. Isn't there a general consensus that he is not good enough to feature in a top end championship side but will do a decent job for a lower end one?

He'll never be a major goal threat but then he never was a natural poacher. His strength lies in holding the ball up and providing a foil for a partner.

Your other - totally accurate and eminently sensible - comments aside...........

............ these threads pop up because he is still our player. Hard to see where we might be able to offload him next season. A very expensive "by mutual consent" beckons

Completely agree, wonder how long his contract is. You almost wish he does well there so they might take him off our hands and free up the wages

It was painful watching him tonight, Forest look like us last season, no pace, shooting wildly from distance, looking for COG to hold it up with no runners from midfield.

Ffs, leave the guy alone. He's not a bad footballer, but certainly he's not great either. It didn't work out for him down here - although not for want of trying on his part. Why this spiteful glee when it's not going well for him (apparently) at Forest? If he's holding up the ball with no runners coming through the poor bu88er must be just as frustrated by the incompetence of his fellow professionals as he must have been down here last season. Although he had the good grace not to moan publicly about it.

Just let it go.

I don't think he did a particularly decent job for a certain lower-end Championship side last season ...
