WSCC must have known that some funerals would take a while to get organised and should have left as much of the original display on the bridge perhaps tidying it up every now and again.

While I understand why the family chose to replace it, using a nailgun on a grade 2 listed structure was also a bit silly.

Haven’t really got an opinion on it but I understand that 7,000 nylon ribbons being blown into the sea doesn’t really help the environment.

I wonder if nylon ribbons on a wooden bridge could be a fire hazard?

Nope, but they will all end up in river in the first Force 5. Well before November. Ribbons was not thought through properly. Biodegradable, not in the short term.

Volunteers went to a lot of effort selectively tidying up the 10,000 bunches of real flowers before they became a mess. But they would have rotted.
