with this Sunday having just non event football & rugby matches on,why not have a look at this

tragic stuff, they reckon it hit the ground at only 12 mph but the hydrogen gas ignited

must of been a hell of a sight in the sky

so if you've got a spare 15 minutes Watch & read the links

if you can stretch to another 18 minutes, listen to Empire of the Clouds by Iron Maiden that tells the story to music,a superb song

Love Maiden but not that.

I quite like it. Although it's a Dickinson tune it reminds me of those epic songs Steve Harris used to write after reading some classic literature.

Rhyme of the ancient mariner it is not but I take your point.

Have to agree with that. EOTC is another great piece of Maiden storytelling but they will struggle to ever surpass Mariner. On the new album the track that's really grabbing me is The Man of Sorrows. And when it comes to their epic tracks the big question is whether they will ever play Alexander The Great live?

Should be some UK dates announced soon for j reckon next Aug/Sept time. Will be interesting to see what Book of Souls make the set list. EOTC I should thought unlikely as 18 mins long plus they will cellos and by his own admission Bruce's piano playing might be risky live rather than in the studio.

yeah I think your about right with the UK dates,I see a gig has been announced in Holland for early June, where I live I've got 3 really good options Barcelona,San Sébastian or Toulouse,August would be ideal as I'm on Holiday, failing that London it will be

Tears of a Clown is my favourite

getting back to the R101,to think it was over 700ft long, considering an A380 is only 250ft,to have seen it flying at low altitude must of been something else

Pretty sure they'll play Berlin either Waldbuhne at 22,000 or the Olmpiastadion at 80,000?
