Firstly I'm going to have to caveat this by saying I wasn't watching the bowls.
I was watching the cycling on Sunday and when I turned the TV on yesterday it was on Eurosport.
Honest, I'm not protesting too much.
The moment I tuned into England v Wales, mixed doubles, indoor bowls, the co-commentator was saying:-
"With 600 to 700 people here watching, the atmosphere is electric...
...it's like playing at Galatasaray or Fenerbahce"
I think even the legend that was Sid Waddell would have balked at that one.
