Rumour has it, that the aliens have devices called "Signal Boosters" installed throughout the tunnel!.

There was a little cottage bungalow just outside Brighton on the A23,which was used as a cover for a lift shaft that went down to nuclear bunkers and war rooms....imagine they are defunct now. My father worked there during construction.
