Set Pieces

Apart from Stephens' beauty of a free kick at Ipswich, this is the one (and only) area of our game I can think of that we have got worse at compared to last season. You would hope we would score a fair amount, especially from corners with the likes of Uwe, Dunk, Hemed, Zamora etc in the squad. Holla was decent at them but we haven't really had a set piece 'specialist' since Spanish Dave left. Area to work on or would I not have been mentioning this if Hemed scored the penalty?

To be honest, they were pretty woeful last season too so I wouldn't say they have got worse; however, our success rate is quite concerning in comparison to other teams. We've already had 86 set-pieces (Defensive half not included), yet we have only scored from 2 of them. We have had an attempt at goal from 38 of them though, but failed to score. Maybe we need to practice getting good connections with the ball in the area because when we face the big teams, especially towards the end of the season, scoring from set-pieces is vital if we are to grind out results.
