Congratulations on the appointment. It is only right that the party goes back to its roots. Lots of singing "we'll keep the red flag flying here" tonight. Hopefully we can now have proper ideological alternatives which we can vote on.

In the unlikely event we descend into a Socialist Utopia I may well consider leaving the UK, however it will never happen

My prediction is that he will not be leader at the next election possibly not in 18 months time. Moves will have been started already to vote him out if labour have ambition to form a government.

No disrespect meant, but sincerely hope you are wrong as the longer he stays in power they will never leave the political wilderness.

Absolutely. Having felt unable to support the party for some time, I mean a really long time, and thus being effectively disenfranchised, I finally have a Labour Party that I can get behind.

If they do turn out to be unelectable, so be it. At least someone is standing up for many of the values that I hold dear.

As long as he is like Tony Benn and he looks after the British people. O but wait where was he today not fighting the corner for the British homeless or the British hungry on our shores, the elderly British people who fought in world wars like **** he was. He outlined his love right from the off and it certainly won't be for the British people values, culture or heritage.

This is where i am but i am happy for Labour to go back to its roots. Odd given the country went right but still it means proper alternatives which can only be good for democracy
