Brighton & Hove Albion would like to extend a warm welcome to Hull City Football Club for this Saturday’s game at the American Express Community Stadium.
This fixture is dedicated to the memory of all 11 victims of last month’s Shoreham Airshow tragedy and the club are asking all supporters to arrive early and be in their seats by 2.30pm as we join together to pay tribute to Albion groundsman Matt Grimstone, Seagulls fan Jacob Schilt and all those that were lost in the disaster last month.

The Tributes

This week the bandstand in the Fan Zone will be a place where fans can congregate and write messages of condolence on the two giant shirts which will form part of the on-pitch tributes prior to kick-off. The shirts will be on the bandstand opposite the club Superstore from 12pm until 2pm.
At the request of the Grimstone and Schilt families there will be a minute's applause immediately ahead of kick-off, but prior to that the club will be paying tribute to Matt and Jacob as follows.
Prior to the minute’s applause we will also have tributes from soprano Donna-Marie Hughes, who will lead the tribute with the song ‘Abide With Me’, followed by ‘Sussex by The Sea’ as the teams emerge on to the field.
Full details of the day’s tributes can be found here.
