Just found out that Preston Rock Garden won GOLD in the South and South East Britain in Bloom this year.

Massive thank you to all my team of volunteers, Community payback, work experience and Albion in the community who have all contributed towards this fantastic achievement.

Suppose i better mention the boss....whose help, motivation and inspiration has been undying. Thank you Graeme (aka Jack Straw)

Now need beer !!!

Well done mate!
My first flat was opposite the Station Hotel -Preston Park Station.
I took my first wife around the Rockery in the first flush of youth.

Well done. Back in oooooh, I guess early 60's, when we lived in a flat, my parents would take me every weekend to walk in the gardens. Having not stepped in there for 50 years I bet I could still get to the bridge blindfolded.

I fell in the pond as a toddler going over the stepping stones. H&S hazard. Should be shut down

Well done, it's a great achievement.

It's the sort of day to day thing you don't really properly notice.
But imagine how awful villages/towns/cities would look without that colour and hard work.

Loads of Brighton kids fell in that pond, I fell in the small pond in Preston Park when I was little.
