In June 2015, Albion in the Community (AITC) was awarded licenses to deliver the new FA Regional Talent Centres for partially sighted and deaf football (players aged 10-19); and blind (B1) football (players aged 10 to adult) and sighted goalkeepers (aged 14-21) for both programmes. As a result we have become one of only a handful of professional clubs charged with delivering the centres for the FA.

The centres will run weekly from October 2015 to April 2016 and AITC would like to work closely with local and regional organisations, schools/colleges and charities to help identify top local players and help them develop their talents with the end goal of players progressing to the national team.

The centres form a crucial element of the FA Emerging Talent Pathway and offer players the opportunity to progress to full international honours with England.

The Talent Centres will be supported by a new impairment-specific clubs programmes for young people and adults, with dedicated football sessions running regularly in Sussex for players who are blind or partially sighted, deaf, who have cerebral palsy/neurological impairment, Down’s syndrome, or autism.

We need your help to spread the message about these exciting opportunities for young people and adults from our local community.

We are holding open trial dates in September for anyone interested in being part of the programme. If anyone would like any more information on them please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Many thanks
