In the world of women's football, the stars of the game are usually still juggling full-time work or education as well as furthering their careers on the field.

The undoubted success of the 2015 Women’s World Cup in Canada has helped elevate the profile of the female side of the sport, and as time progresses more and more of the athletes are making a living out of the game.

However, there are still plenty who have to work alongside their football careers, and at Albion that is no different as the club continues to strive for a place in the Women’s Super League (WSL).

So, what do our Albion women do when they are not donning the blue-and-white stripes? Well let’s start with the players in green first of all, the goalkeepers.

Goalkeeper
Baker is a former Gillingham player and she combines her career with a teaching assistant role, while also teaching sports lessons. The keeper joined Albion a year ago following James Marrs's departure from Gillingham Ladies. The 25-year-old is now competing in her third season in the Women’s Premier League Southern Division and in her first season with the Gills, Baker was part of the side that won both the Kent and Ryman Cups, while also finishing second in the league. She became a record-breaking keeper for the Kent side, as she broke both the clean sheet and consecutive clean sheet record for the club. Last season she was a firm fixture in the Albion team that came second in the league and won the Sussex Challenge Cup.
