Not sure I agree. Can you compare a recording with a live version?

If I were in that crowd hearing this, I think maybe I would ask if it got any better than this.

There are very, very few Springsteen songs that I can't stand, but Atlantic City is at the top of the list, from the first time I ever heard it I hated it. To keep things on topic though, this is Thunder Road from Bruce's Hyde Park show in 2012 - my first Springsteen show and this was what he opened with:

Not a bad way to start, I hope you'll agree. Either way it's the best version of Thunder Road I've ever heard and one that will stick with me forever.
