Oh dear the poor lads. How will they make it through the Bank Holiday? Still I guess they can actually afford to take out a WONGA pay day loan

My heart bleeds for both this scrupulously honest club and their hard working, under paid serfs.

Actually F*** the C***s.

Sorry if this has been answered previously. But what happened to the possible points deduction and massive fine that QPR were supposed to get for breaking FFP rules when previously in the Championship?

AFAIK they were fined 8 or 9 million pounds for "hiding" around 60 million. The moral of the story is that, if you get promoted, FFP doesn't count.

did no one else read the story and think it doesnt quite add up? weekly wages paid monthly? if in arrears theres nothing missing, if they are paid some in advance to round off the week, then it might make some sense the club want to hold back half a weeks wages.

All players get paid monthly despite their wage being quoted as a weekly amount. The 31st is also a bank holiday, so their wages should be in the bank on Friday as the last working day (for the bank, not the club).

AFAIK their fine has still to be decided upon. There was a newspaper article saying that this is what they may have agreed with the Football League, but nothing official has been announced. I would hope that the FL have rejected this pathetic attempt at appeasement and make them hand over the full 57m to charity before they go bust.
