I am locked in on Safari and frozen.

I have received an email from Apple as follows

Apple.com---prize info

CONGRATULATIONS IPAD!

your Ipad device was selected because we need more testers for the new Iphone7

press OK to participate and receive a free Iphone 6

I will not press OK because I think this is a scam.

Thus nothing but nothing on the screen will delete it. I am sure that IF it were a genuine Apple offer, they would have given me the chance to decline. Plus that, I have no interest in owning an Iphone 6.

As I am not that computer literate, I am appealing to one of you technically minded people to help me solve this problem.
this would be very much appreciated, Langley

Surely if you keep your finger on the on / off switch to will turn off (not winding you up), then just switch on again

As long as you have no interest in this offer, I imagine shutting the Ipad down and restarting is the best place to start? ( maybe you have already done this)

Disclaimer - I am not even close to being a techie

This does seem to SCREAM scam though

Double click the home button, then swipe the browser away, if this doesn't work, power the Ipad off by holding the home button and the lock screen button for until the screen goes blank and a apple logo appears.

All it does is bring up Siri to the screen

If that doesnt work, Id suggest leaving it unlocked so the battery drains and stop watching Porn on your IPad, everyone knows its better to watch it on your phone these days.

For your information I was on the Argus site.
