Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton says his team need to find their clinical touch in front of goal after they were eliminated from the Capital One Cup at the hands of Walsall.
*
Jake Forster-Caskey gave the Seagulls a 39th-minute lead from the penalty spot, but second-half strikes from Milan Lalkovic and Rico Henry sent the Saddlers through at Albion’s expense.
*
He told seagulls.co.uk, “I felt we had some really good periods in the game. I can’t really remember a game where we’ve had so much possession breaking into their final third and we counter-attacked very well.
*
“They looked dangerous on the counter-attack in the first half and they’re a team in very good form, but we had ample opportunities and got into some great areas.
*
“Solly March got to the byline on four or five occasions, but if we’re not able to get those second goals then it’s always going to put pressure on ourselves.
*
“That’s what happened and any mistake you might make gives the opposition an opportunity to capitalise on it and that’s what they did.”

Chris O’Grady had a chance to re-take the lead for Albion after 70 minutes from the penalty spot, but unlike Forster-Caskey, he could not find the target and it was Walsall who went on to find a crucial second goal.
*
“It wasn’t one of his better nights but he stuck in there.
*
“He earned the penalty and wanted to take it. If he scores it, then most people would look at and it say that’s a brave decision because he’s not having the best of nights.
*
“Unfortunately he didn’t, but we were still very much in the game at that stage and they were then able to capitalise on any mistake we made.”
*
The Albion manager’s attention now turns to a top-of-the-table clash in the Championship at Ipswich on Saturday and revealed that Bobby Zamora could come into contention.
*
“It’s a game we should have won, but unfortunately we didn’t and certainly come tomorrow it’s got to be about looking forward to a tough game at Ipswich on Saturday.
*
“Bobby will be involved in a training game this week and that will give him a really good chance of having some involvement in the game on Saturday.”[h=3]ALBION V HULL CITY*
