Would be a quality signing but I think we're more likely to get Carayol from Boro as he's also apparently on his way out.

He did indeed. I notice Carayol is "set to depart in the next few days" also. I'd think he's the more likely one... Always rated Adomah though, but if they get Antonio, that's a) a brilliant move for them and b) another nail in Forest's coffin for the season. Poor Dougie

They would be looking for circa £5m in this market IMO. I cannot see us paying that although he would be a good signing.

Perhaps Bristol City have a massive sell-on clause which they are relying on to fund their billion pound bids for players ?

Thats a good shout similar type player as replacement and make money. I would think Pardew and the board will consider it. They will even have the money left over to buy him a NEW caravan.

Rumour has it Palace have just paid a couple of million pounds to Bristol City to buy out that clause.

We desperately need a goal scorer from whatever position. Adomah scores goals & has a better record than Marshall (for example). However his determination to leave Boro has come late and we may already be locked in to targets.
Carayol is a better player than we saw last season but doesn't score goals.

We are in a very different place than last spring's loan window.
I would be mildly surprised if we went for Carayol if, as seems likely, we have the money to offer £3m for a player (BEFORE the Dunk saga) but it's football so never say never.
