A few more words to be written although i did spontaneously start singing this in the 8 Bells In Fulham yesterday.

Ooh Uwe Uwe ooh Hunimeir Ooooh Uwe Uwe !!
Heres the song so you will se what I mean .
Could end up a good chant in the end.
Needs some good wording though

Keep it simple.

Middle of the Road Chirpy Chirpy Cheap Cheap.

Swap the chorus Where's your Mama gone to

Uwe Hunimeir.

Just sing his name to the tune of 'Where's your mama gone' nice and easy. Job done.

All the chants I've heard pronounce Uwe 'Oo-vay' but I'd have thought it should be closer to 'Oo-vah' or 'Oo-ver'. Be a bit rude to get the chap's name wrong. Guidance needed.

It is Oover but we've got a bit of record of getting foreign names wrong, look at the struggles we had with Ulloa and the time we signed Vincente.

As for songs, I really like that Uwe song someone posted last week - the doppelname one

The Fatherland
To the tune of The Model

He's Uwe and he defends good
His hosen are leder, that's understood
He plays for Brighton at number 4
The Greeks want money and knock on his door.

As well as being right, 'oover sounds like a good name for someone who could be a sweeper.

To the tune of Inky Pinky Parlez Vous

He came to us from across the Rhine Hunimeir
He's as rough as a bird from the Tyne Hunimeir
He not going to let the other team score
What ever you do don't mention the war
Uwe, Uwe Hunimeir.
