I don't go to county matches these days, simply because the competitions feel so temporary. The ECB keep pissing around with formats.
Perhaps if there was a stable model (which I believe the present format can become) folk would feel more loyalty.
As for the franchises, it's an absurd idea. We are loyal to our local teams in this country. It'd be like putting Southampton, Portsmouth and the Albion into one team and adding a few big names. It wouldn't work.
Next summer I'd like to see [MENTION=257]The Large One[/MENTION] and his crew create a show with the Sussex powers that would be about this single issue. Although I think the Sussex view is that of these protesting members.
