Why would you expect a ticket to be refunded if its not going to be used, especially on the day of the game

.....erm, perhaps because it's a decent way to repay a fan for his support. Bearing in mind it was no doubt purchased in good faith.
But if you have different values that's fine, I'm comfortable with that.

Did I say "refunded"? I said not interested in taking it back.
As a Life Member for 40yrs, I wanted somebody to be able to watch the match live rather than a ticket not being used as one of son's mates now can't go.

Really, I cannot think of anywhere who would refund a ticket to an event for a no show - anyway I appreciate that's not what the thread starter was saying
