glad I tried it on him last night, he's six years old, he's not the tallest in his class and certainly not the fattest, but the label read 'age 10-12' is this the norm?

Same with my 9yo grandson's.
He got the 10-12yo size. It was smaller than the 8-9yo size yellow shirt from a couple of seasons ago
