Nah, he said he may need some sessions and hoped to be available as soon as possible, maybe Friday (which I don't think he believes is possible).

I know it's a gimmick and every club gets their 15 minutes of fame - good idea - but why do it all in such a breathless rush. Could have learnt a little bit more if he didn't have to dash off to Crawley.

Surely he can come on as sub for the last 20 mins or so even if hes not fighting fit, so we can give him the welcome back he deserves. We might be 2-0 down by then of course but who cares!

Sky Sports are visiting all 92 clubs today. I'm guessing he'll be doing Us, Crawley and a couple of south London clubs and/or Gillingham today.

On reflection, I don't want to take the bet. It could be done to help lift the crowd, or we could be in negotiations to sell our other strikers. I doubt he's really ready to play though.

I don't really have high hopes for him this season, I just thought the move made sense. He's had his career, he's not going to be wanted by PL teams, but he's still good enough to help a Championship side, and it seems more obvious that it would be us than anyone else.
